Jeffery Byram

Kitchen Manager

Jeff was born and raised in southern California. He has worked in food production and management for over 40 years. Jeff started out working for his father’s business, providing food service to jockeys and the support staff for all three major horse racetracks. He later gained some invaluable skills working for Harrah’s casino in Las Vegas for three years.

Jeff worked for Amtrak providing food service for long haul passengers as a chef and dining car steward for 14 years. He then embarked on a career with Chartwell’s Dining Services; providing food production, catering events and overall food safety and management for universities in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. He was a Sous Chef and Assistant Dining Director for 10.5 of these years.

In addition to the above-mentioned experience, Jeff has nine years of experience providing food service working at Boy Scout camps in Colorado and Missouri, and has extensive experience working with the needs of individuals on special diets.

Jeff joined Mountain Springs in September 2017 and is excited to provide students and staff at the school delicious meals that meet their nutritional needs. Jeff is the proud father of six daughters and two sons. He is excited to start a new chapter of his life in Cedar City with his wife, Marie.
