Carlie Hulet

Art and Special Education Teacher

Carlie Hulet is from Hurricane, Utah. She received her Bachelor's in Math Education with an Art minor from Southern Utah University in 2009 and has been teaching in Iron County ever since. Carlie has a passion for learning and continued her education taking masters classes at SUU and received a Special Education Endorsement during her first year of teaching. Carlie knew she wanted to be a teacher at an early age. When she was in 3rd grade she had a life altering experience when she found her sister defeated by math. She saw how math can make someone so discouraged it can change their whole outlook on life. That very day Carlie discovered her talent. She loved teaching and continued to tutor her sister and others all around her. She continued tutoring math after high school at a local high school and at the University Learning Center at SUU.

Carlie is grateful to have that experience at such a young age to help mold her into what she ultimately would become. Outside of the classroom Carlie enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children. Carlie loves to paint, draw, hike, camp, snowboard, wake-board, rock climb and go canyoneering.
