Kyle Dewey, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Kyle earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Arizona in 2018, with dual certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. Since then, he has worked with adolescents and young adults in residential and outpatient mental health settings, while sometimes seeing to their primary care needs as well. Kyle’s approach is direct yet laid back; he meets patients where they are and tailors recommendations to their circumstances, personality, and goals. In conjunction with pharmacotherapy, he uses therapies such as motivational interviewing and CBT. He understands that treatment is not 'one size fits all' and works collaboratively with patients and families to maximize autonomy and reach milestones.

His personal experiences as a parent inform his easy-going and relatable style. With five adventurous kids and a tireless deerhound, Kyle stays busy, but makes time for the outdoors whenever possible. His hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, cliff-jumping, skateboarding and going to concerts.
